Through educational programs, scientific research, and community outreach, UT supports statewide healthiness. We’re conducting groundbreaking research to better understand opioid addiction and prevent relapses. We’ve created evidence-based substance abuse treatment, and the curriculum to teach millions how to use it. And we’ve developed a digital tool that helps identify drug-seeking patients with a history of abuse. UT Extension has partnered with the National Council on Patient Information and Education to address medication literacy in Tennessee.
