Ideas Made Real by our Alums and Within Our System are a Big Part of Your Day

The UT Research Foundation is among the world’s top university producers of patents. We invented the test used by government meat inspectors to prove what you buy at the grocery is healthy and safe. A UT alum changed game night forever through the co-invention of Trivial Pursuit. Mark Dean holds three of the original nine patents on the standard IBM personal desktop computer. And we would be lost (quite literally) without Min Kao, the co-founder of Garmin. UT’s discoveries address real-world and industry questions big and small.

Everywhere you look, UT is leading innovations.
