UT makes us safer though discovery, research and outreach
All across the state of Tennessee we are making national security a priority. At the Institute of Nuclear Security, UT developed mobile radiation technology that helps guard against radioactive threats. You’ll find scientists researching biodefense and emerging infectious diseases at UT Health Science Center’s Regional Biocontainment Laboratory. Meanwhile, the UT Institute of Agriculture works to protect the nation’s food supply from terrorist threats and promotes safe food production. And the IPS Law Enforcement Center is responding to the urgent need for active shooter response training.
Everywhere you look, UT enhances national security.
